Thanksgiving Day is one of the best American traditions in my opinion. It’s also impressive that it has maintained such high value in our ever changing culture.
In our self-centered perspective, it’s easy to forget that we really aren’t the ones that get earn everything or provide for ourselves. In the end, everything that we have and everything that we are is a gift from God.
This day is a great reminder to offer our Thanks to the one that provides it all. It’s also great to thank those around us for all that they give and do for us. Community and family is such a beautiful part of life.
One of my favorite ways to focus on a theme is through music, so naturally I put together a playlist of Thanksgiving. This isn’t necessarily just for the day or even exclusively what would be classified as contemporary Christian music. These are just some songs I enjoy that focus on gratitude.
Josh Blakesly Band – Grateful
All that I am – Rend Collective
Gratitude – Jason Ma featuring Bruon Mars
Thank you – Hillsong Live (now known as Worship)
Give Thanks and Praises – Bob Marley
10,000 Reasons – Matt Redman
Thank you for hearing me – David Crowder Band
