My Favorite Pictures of Paul VI

The Church just celebrated a wonderful and important man in the modern Church by beatifying Pope Paul VI. Pope Paul VI at VaticanAll too often, Blessed Paul VI is forgotten by our generation, and skipped over between John XXIII and John Paul II. On the other side of the spectrum, he’s often misunderstood and remembered for all the wrong things. Now we know with confidence that He is in heaven.

Some of my favorite papal writings came from Paul VI, including Humane Vitae and Evangelii Nuntiandi. Jennifer Fullwiler wrote a great post about how one of his encyclicals challenged her and led her to Truth. My friend Tom Perna also wrote a great post about his relationship with Mary.

Since he is often forgotten, I want to share some of my favorite pictures of Paul VI during some important moments and with some other amazing people.

I do not own any of these images nor claim rights to them.
